During Thanksgiving my whole family dressed alike and color coordina

ted. It sounds kind of silly but I wanted to do something funny in remembrance for my grandmother who passed away in October. Everyone either wore brown, orange, or yellow shirts!

My best Christmas gift idea is giving and receiving homemade gifts that take more effort than store bought gifts. I like to make my friends picture collages. They are always a way to say I love you and you mean more than a gift card or a sweater.

During Christmas break I am going to spend as much time with my friends from high school as possible. All of my good friends are so far away at other colleges and I want to catch up with them. A month of quality time should do the trick.

When I get stressed out before an exam I always turn on the Hispanic station on the radio. I hardly have an idea what they are saying and it makes me laugh. There are some sick beats in that genre of music!

The best Christmas present I ever received was my laptop. She’s my baby. I called her Dashanda.
Over Thanksgiving Break I ate a lot, went Black Friday shopping, worked on Costume Construction, Theatre History and Vis Stlyes. Over Christmas break I plan on getting off book for “Wind in the Willows“, a play directed by Christopher Zink, and get off book for Tony Mullins’ original play Color Blind, relax, and get ready for Singers Tour.

Some study tips are to give yourself breaks in between studying, study with a group, take it one project at a time, and don’t procrastinate.  If there is a project you can do before the week of exams, please do it. Reach out to faculty and staff, they do want to see you succeed; they are more than willing to help. Keep God first.

Thanksgiving Break

For Thanksgiving, I spent time at my house and enjoyed a nice turkey dinner with my mom.  I also watched the packers and lions game.

The Best Christmas Gift

The best Christmas gift I have ever gotten was a sled I received when I was 9 years old. It was one fast sled and was great in the snow and ice. I used that sled every year until it finally wore out.

Christmas Break

For Christmas break, I plan on enjoying some of the down time from school.  I am taking world music online as well as a prep course for the GMAT.  I am also preparing to apply to different graduate programs.

Exam Tips

I think the best study tips are to go over all of your notes and homework from all your classes.  it best for student to not cram before exams because it will lead to more stress which in turn leads to a lower grade.  I think the best stress reliever is to remember that after the exams are over, there will be a nice long break to relax.

Thanksgiving break is always one of my favorite times of the year.  I love being able to go home and eat massive amounts of homemade food and spend time with all of my family.  This year was full of pie’s, turkey, cranberry sauce, and endless casseroles. My extended family always comes into town from Atlanta and Birmingham to spend the holiday with us. It is always a special time of your to reflect on all of the blessing we are given in our everyday life and enjoy a day to eat with no guilt.

Over my first thanksgiving ever, I went to Maryland with a friend of mine. I was able to experience a completely new part of America and happily enjoyed some home cooked meals for a change. I was taken for a tour of Washington D.C. while I was there. It was awesome to see the White House and other famous buildings! We ate good food, met new people and had fun. Good Holiday!

For Thanksgiving I went to my best friends house and ate with her family. Then I went back to my house to eat again with my family. After that, I hung out with brothers and watched Christmas Vacation, which is a tradition for us to watch on Thanksgiving.

My Thanksgiving break was amazing! I love working 32 hours in four days. There’s really nothing to do during Thanksgiving anyways except for work. As a matter of fact, it might be my favorite holiday.

Catawba’s Men Soccer faced Lincoln-Memorial at Lincoln Memorial on Sunday, October 18th. Lincoln-Memorial took the lead in the 25th minute of the game on a penalty kick. With eight minutes left in the game, Lincoln-Memorial scored again. The Indians were able to have 4 shots on goal, but were not able to capitalize on their shots. Catawba keeper, Tyler Held had four saves for the game. The Indians will on the road for their next game at Tusculum on October 21st at 7pm.
